PACIFIC LAUNCH
PACIFIC Launch
STRATUS brought Issue 03: PACIFIC to life through two launch events that took place in Edmonton at Latitude 53, and in Vancouver at Noorongji Books as part of Vancouver Design Week. Both spaces served as a gallery activation of PACIFIC, showcasing features from the issue on large acetate sheets by Jeremy Jude Lee, Simone Chnarakis, creative duo Eric Cheung & Sebastian Palencia, as well as many community gallery members.
This issue challenged contributors to visualize the feelings Vancouver invokes, and the complexities that come from lived experience, changing landscapes, and growth.

Edmonton Launch at LATITUDE 53
The Edmonton Launch Event at Latitude 53 was an intimate gathering between community members, featuring the dj group clubclub and a thematic installation by the STRATUS team. This launch event was held on August 1, 2024 from 7pm-10pm. The showcase was additionally open during Latitude 53 business hours from August 2-17th.
Vancouver Launch at NOOROONGJI for Vancouver Design Week
The Vancouver Launch Event was held in tandem with a special edition Vancouver Design Week book club event, at Nooroongji Books on Granville Island. Instead of within the bookstore itself, the exhibition was displayed throughout the halls and common space of the business centre on Granville Island, where the acetate prints were suspended from ducts with magnets to emulate a dynamic hallway gallery space. Joined by Juicebar, Sunhouse Babysitting Agency, and showcasing the architectural work from of dirt studio, the event brought PACIFIC to life in a unique way, expanding on the narrative woven by those across Canada, with a unified love for the west coast.
